Jar Candles and Wax Tart Melts Candle Making Instructions
The instructions apply to all of our waxes.
Heat wax to approx. 200-210°F using a wax melter or microwaving in a pyrex type glass container at 1 minute and 30 second intervals- turning the container between each interval until the wax is melted.
Add Color if Desired. For our Color Blocks use a knife and add slivers to the wax until you reach the desired color. Blending the color blocks works well to make different colors too!
Add a ratio of 1.5-2.5 ounces per pound of fragrance oil to your wax.
Stir Well.
Add to your pre-wicked with wick stickers Container or Wax Tart Melt Molds (if using clamshell molds let wax cool to approx. 170 degrees before pouring into molds).

Scoopable Tart Wax
To make Scoopable Tart Wax you can add our Non-GMO 100% Soybean Oil to the wax to soften it and make is Scoopable. Usually about a 30- 40% Ratio, Oil to Wax, depending on what wax you use (we prefer a 50/50 100% Soy/Soypara blend). Please test to determine what you prefer. Follow instructions above an pour into your container.
Shaveable Tart Wax
Heat our 100% Soy Wax to 150-175°F and color and Fragrance- stir well. Let sit until the wax stars to solidify some- stir well and add to container.
